HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's soccer has placed four student-athletes to the United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region squad, as announced by the organization on Dec. 6, 2022.

Brage Aasen and David Bercedo earned Second Team status, while Tomas Svecula and Alexander Stjernegaard were tabbed Third Team honorees.
Bercedo – the 2022 MAAC Golden Boot winner – led the league with 14 goals and 35 points in 2022. The captain scored nine times vs. MAAC opponents, playing in all 21 contests for Quinnipiac. He had 12 multi-point games for the MAAC-champion Bobcats.
Aasen registered five goals and seven assists over 12 games for Quinnipiac. He scored twice at Vermont (8/30), then scored two more goals against Canisius (10/29). He registered a point in seven of the 12 games he played in, as the senior logged 871 minutes on the field.
Tomas Svecula finished second on the team in goals (10) and points (24). He scored four times in postseason play for the Bobcats – recording three goals over QU's MAAC Tournament run. The senior registered a goal in eight different games for Quinnipiac.
Alexander Stjernegaard – the 2022 MAAC Rookie of the Year – tallied 21 points over 21 contests for QU. The first-year midfielder led the Bobcats in assists (13).
Quinnipiac completed its second-ever NCAA Tournament run in 2022. The Bobcats finished the season with a 13-5-3 record, going 6-2-2 in conference play to win their fifth regular season MAAC championship. QU downed Niagara in the MAAC Semifinals, then defeated Iona in the league championship contest in Hamden. The Bobcats battled to a 3-2 loss in OT during the NCAA Tournament at #8 Vermont.
