Niagara University Women's Swimming & Diving Claim 2022 MAAC Title and First in Program History

BUFFALO, NY (February 12, 2022) – Niagara University captured the 2022 MAAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championship title after scoring 582.50 points throughout four days of competition at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center in Buffalo, New York. The 2022 Championship marks the first in Purple Eagles’ program history.

Day 4 Highlights
  • On the final day, Monmouth’s Camryn McHugh won the 200 Backstroke with a time of 1:58.64.
  • Canisius’ Sage Pollack won the Women’s 100 Freestyle with a time of 51.26.
  • In the Women’s 200 Butterfly and 1650 Freestyle, Georgia Watkins took both events with times of 17:10.25 (1650 Free) and 2:02.80 (200 Fly).
  • The Purple Eagles took first place in the Women’s 400 Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:28.13. Niagara’s relay team included Katrina Wardner, Paige South, Yvonne Schere, and Moana Houde-Camirand.
