Top-ranked Iona defeated second-place Saint Peter’s, 70-61 in MAAC action on the road at Run Baby Run Arena. The win secured a top-four finish for the Gaels, locking up a first-round bye for Iona in the upcoming MAAC Championship. Nelly Junior Joseph posted a double-double with 17-point and 12-rebound while Tyson Jolly added 17 points in the win. Saint Peter’s was led by KC Ndefo’s 16-point performance and Jaylen Murray’s 10-point effort.
 
The 2021-22 campaign culminates with the 2022 Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships from March 8-12 at Atlantic City's Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
