Monmouth Tops Siena, Producing a Three-Way Tie for Second-Place in the MAAC Men’s Basketball Standings

Monmouth topped Siena, 71-59 inside of OceanFirst Bank Center on Tuesday night in MAAC league action. As a result of the game, Monmouth, Siena, and Saint Peter’s all hold an identical 10-6 record, good for a three-way second-place tie in the MAAC Standings, with four games remaining for the trio. The win was the 179th for Monmouth head coach King Rice, the most in program history at the Division I level and second most in the school's all-time history. George Papas led the Hawks with 18 points, followed by 15 from Walker Miller and 12 by Shavar Reynolds. Additionally, Nikkei Rutty grabbed 19 rebounds for Monmouth, the most in a single game for the program since 1992. Jackson Stormo was Siena’s line player in double-figures, scoring 16 points.
