EDISON, NJ (February 25, 2022) – Marist College was picked as the 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) preseason favorite, ss voted on by the league’s head coaches. Marist garnered 97 total points and seven of 10 first-place votes after winning the 2021 MAAC Championship last season.
 
Jacksonville University preceded Marist with 89 points and two first-place votes. The Dolphins have won five of the past seven MAAC Championships dating back to 2014.
 
Stetson University totaled 78 total points to finish in third, Fairfield University followed closely with 75 points and the final first-place vote. Drake University rounds out the top five with 57 points.
 
Sacred Heart University garnered 47 points, Canisius College was picked seventh with 41 points, Manhattan College followed with 29 points, Robert Morris University finished ninth with 24 points, and Iona College rounded out the poll with 13 points.
