Without MAAC-leading scorer Lou Lopez-Senechal, Fairfield snuck past Canisius, 63-54 in overtime on Saturday. Four Stags finished with double-figures including 14 apiece from Callie Cavanaugh and Sam Lewis and 10 apiece from Sydney Lowery and Andrea Hernangomez. Rachel Hakes finished with eight points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Shaunae Brown scored a game-high 15 points for the Griffs.

The Iona College women’s basketball team defeated Siena on the road on Saturday, 64-57. Behind Juana Camilion’s 23 points and eight rebounds, the Gaels grabbed their fifth MAAC-win. Olivia Vezaldenos and Shyan Mwai scored 13 apiece for the Gaels as well. Siena was led by 20 points from Margo Peterson and a double-double by Selena Philoxy (14 points, 10 rebounds), while Deanna Winston scored 10 points.

The Niagara University women’s basketball team defeated Manhattan, 85-73 to sweep their season series and give the Jaspers their first home loss of the season. Angel Parker scored a game-high 23 points and Maddy Yelle scored 17 to lead the Purple Eagles. Aaliyah Parker contributed 11 points and Ally Haar added 10 to gain their fifth MAAC-win of the season. Dee Dee Davis led Manhattan with 16 points and Courtney Warley recorded her 10th double-double of the season (13 points, 13 rebounds) for the Jaspers. Emily LaPointe finished with 14 points.

Nine different players scored points for the Hawks as the Monmouth University women’s basketball team defeated Quinnipiac, 64-55 on Saturday. The Hawks were led in the scoring column by 14 points by Stella Clark who also recorded eight rebounds and 10 points from Kaci Donovan. In the absence of Quinnipiac’s leading scorerer Mackenzie DeWees, Jackie Grisdale scored a game-high 17 points and Mikala Morris recorded a double-double (16 points, 14 rebounds). Amani Free also finished with 11 points.

The Rider University women’s basketball team defeated Marist on Saturday night, 60-50 behind 14 points and nine rebounds from Makayla Firebaugh, 12 points from Raphaela Toussaint and 11 points from Lenaejha Evans. For Marist, Trinasia Kennedy finished with 13 points and Erin Fox added 10 points.
