EDISON, NJ (February 9, 2022) – Niagara’s Ally Haar and Rider’s Ben Woodward have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Women’s Basketball
Ally Haar is a triple major, working towards degrees in finance, accounting, and economics. On the court, Haar is averaging 9.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest this season. Last Thursday the senior led Niagara with 19 points against Fairfield, matching her career-high six 3-pointers. On the season she has made a season-high 32, 3-pointers.

Men’s Indoor Track & Field
Woodward earned All-East at IC4A Cross Country Championships this past November, finishing 24
th, while carrying the momentum into the indoor track & field season, where he’s posted an IC4A qualifying time of 14:39.40 in the 5000m at the Terrier Classic, helped Rider’s DMR team to a first-place finish as well as a second-place finish in the mile (4:17.11) at the Spartan Invite and a third-place finish in the 3000m (8:30.84) at the Wagner Invitational. Woodward has also achieved in the classroom, posting a 3.98 GPA as an environmental sciences major.
