Marist Earns Convincing Road Win and Rider’s Hot Streak Continues, to Headline Tuesday’s MAAC Men’s Basketball

Marist earned a decisive 83-58 victory over Monmouth on the road Tuesday night at OceanFirst Bank Center. With the win, the Red Foxes completed a season sweep over the Hawks for the first time since 2013-14. It was also the largest road win in MAAC play for Marist since 2007. Jao Ituka led all scorers with 25 points, Ricardo Wright scored 20 points, and Noah Harris added 13 points. Monmouth was led by Walker Miller’s 17 points, while graduate George Papas became the 26th player in the program's Division I history to reach 1,000 career points.

Rider defeated Manhattan, 76-67, on Tuesday night at Alumni Gym. The Broncs have now won three straight, and four out of their last five games. Dwight Murray Jr. scored a team-high 21 points and Dimencio Vaughn posted his team-leading sixth double-double of the year with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Mervin James added 16 points and Allen Powell chipped in with 13 points. Jose Perez had a game-high 26 points, and Josh Roberts recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds to guide Manhattan.
