Dee Dee Davis’ 33 Points, Strong Defensive Effort Leads Manhattan, Monmouth to Wins

EDISON, NJ (March 3, 2022) – Monmouth University grabbed a win over Marist to win their first game since February 10. Manhattan gutted out a strong overtime win over Quinnipiac behind 33 points from Dee Dee Davis.

The Monmouth University women’s basketball team defeated Marist College on Wednesday night, 52-44 behind a game-high 18 points from Belle Kranbuhl. For the second straight outing, Kranbuhl capped her night with one miss from the field after shooting 9-of-10. Stella Clark finished with nine points, eight rebounds and six assists. For the Red Foxes, Trinasia Kennedy finished in double-figures with 10 points.

The Manhattan College women’s basketball team defeated Quinnipiac University on Wednesday evening, 73-69 in overtime. The only field goal made in overtime was a Dee Dee Davis contested- pull-up jumper from just off the lane. Davis' jumper gave Manhattan a 70-69 lead with less than 45 seconds to play and the Jaspers never looked back. Davis finished with a career-high and a MAAC single game-high this season, 33 points. Jade Blagrove finished with a double-double, scoring 12 points and recording a career-high 14 rebounds. For the Bobcats, Mackenzie DeWees and Mikala Morris each recorded 18 points.
