First Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards of 2022 Announced

Men’s Track Performer of the Week:
Jadyn Tabois, Iona
Jr., Southport, CT, Fairfield Ludlowe/Fairfield Prep
 
Sophomore Jadyn Tabois competed in the 100-meter dash at the 2022 adidas Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State University.  His time of 10.49 was the second fastest time in school history, and the fastest since the standard of 10.20 was set in 1986 by Robert Wright. The previous No. 2 time of 10.72 was held by teammate Prince Forson and set at the 2019 Metropolitan Championships. Tabois ran the 12th fastest time among the 69 competitors in the event. He won his heat by nearly .3 seconds. It was the fastest 100-meter time in the MAAC this week and ranks Top 60 in the East after two weekends.
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week:
Mujeeb Ali, Monmouth
Jr., Elizabeth, NJ, Elizabeth
 
Ali won the shot put event at Monmouth's outdoor home opener over the weekend with a mark of 16.49m. He also finished in third place in both the discus throw (47.36m) and the hammer throw (49.55m, a new personal best).
 
Women’s Track Performer of the Week:
Teagan Schein-Becker, Rider
Sr., Trappe, PA, Perkiomen Valley
 
Schein-Becker won the 800m by a whopping 14 seconds in 2:10.06. It is an ECAC qualifying mark and the top time in the MAAC by over 11 seconds.
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Danielle Steff, Monmouth
Gr., Lumberton, NJ, Rancocas Valley
 
Steff won the javelin throw event at Monmouth's outdoor home opener with a mark of 48.52m, a new facility record. Steff also finished second in the discuss throw event with a mark of 40.49m, a new personal best.
