It was the Golden Griffins second straight win, while snapping the Red Foxes’ six game winning streak. Four Canisius players scored in double-figures, led by senior Ahamadou Fofana and his career-high 21 points, followed by Akrum Ahemed (13), George Maslennikov (13), and Malek Green (12). Marist was led by Jao Ituka’s 19 points, Samkelo Cele (13) and Ricardo Wright (11).

Manhattan edged rival Iona, 74-72 on Thursday night at Draddy Gym. Jose Perez scored the game-winning basket for the Jaspers with 1.9 seconds left on the clock to give Manhattan the upset win. Perez finished with a game-high 27 points, and the duo of Samba Diallo and Marques Watson scored 13 points each. Iona was led by Nelly Junior Joseph’s double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds and Walter Clayton Jr. added 17 points.

Dezi Jones scored a career-high 26 points for the Bobcats, while Matt Balanc added 17 points and a career-best 10 rebounds.

Niagara earned a convincing 74-52, home victory over Siena on Thursday night in the Gallagher Center. The 52 points allowed by Purple Eagles was a season-low. Marcus Hammond led all scorers with 28 points, tying his season-high, with Sam Iorio chipping in with 13 points and Noah Thomasson adding 11. Javian McCollum (13), Colby Rogers (10) and Anthony Gaines (10) led Siena.
