ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (March 9, 2022) – Quinnipiac’s Leeyen Peralta and Iona’s Tyson Jolly have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Peralta claimed her second tournament victory of the campaign after tying for first at the Bear's Creek Invitational this past weekend. Peralta shot 72-74–146 (+2) over 36 holes played at the event. This is the second round of 72 for Peralta this season, tying her score for her best round of the season. Quinnipiac earned third place on the team leaderboard with an overall score of 616 (+40). With two wins on the season, Peralta is one victory shy of tying Luciana Tobia for the program's single-season record.

Men’s Basketball
Tyson Jolly led the Gaels to the number one seed and a first-round bye at the 2022 MAAC Men’s Basketball Championships in Atlantic City. Over the past week in two games the Grad student notched 21 points and 15 rebounds. Earlier today the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference named Jolly the 2022 Player of the Year, over his lone season with the Gaels Jolly started all 31 games, he averaged 14.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and shot 43 % from the field.
