Siena’s McNeely, Dobrzynski, Niagara’s Messenger Earn TicketSmarter Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

Offensive Player of the Week
Nicole McNeely, Siena

McNeely scored 15 total points this week, netting eight goals and seven assists in a pair of wins over Quinnipiac and Manhattan for the Siena Saints. The fifth-year broke Siena's single-season points total on Saturday, as she now stands at 77 for the season. She also collected seven ground balls, 12 draw controls, and caused four turnovers. McNeely has now broken both the career and single-season marks for points, and the career mark for goals and assists this season.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Michelle Messenger, Niagara
Sr., Pittsford, NY, Pittsford Sutherland
 
Messenger picked up two wins in the cage this past week, stopping a total of 26 shots for a .578 save percentage. In both games this week, Messenger made 13 saves, while allowing nine goals against Marist and ten to the Stags. Messenger also picked up nine ground balls and caused two turnovers on the week.
 
Rookie of the Week
Grace Dobrzynski, Siena
Fr., West Greenwich, RI, La Salle Academy
 
Dobrzynski had a nine-point week for the Siena Saints, scoring a hat trick and tossed out six assists in a pair of wins over Quinnipiac and Manhattan. The freshman has shattered Siena's single-season mark for assists this year, all while maintaining her status as the NCAA's top assisting freshman. All three of her goals on the week came with a three-goal, three-assist effort in Siena's 19-9 win over Manhattan.
