Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Tommy Anderson, Siena
Jr., Ballston Spa, NY, Ballston Spa
 
Anderson set a new school record by winning the 3000-meter steeplechase at the Bison Outdoor Invitational with a time of 8:59.65. The mark is tops in the MAAC and 33rd in the NCAA East Region this year, as well as fifth all-time in conference history.
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Connor Bennett, Monmouth
So., Toms River, NJ, Toms River North
 
Bennett won the pole vault event at the Moravian Greyhound Invitational, posting a mark of 4.70m. That mark is second among all MAAC competitors this season.
 
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Teagan Schein-Becker, Rider
Sr., Trappe, PA, Perkiomen Valley
 
Schein-Becker won the 1500 at the Bison Outdoor Classic beating national level competition. Her time of 4:19.19 was a Rider record by over 3 seconds and is the 27th ranked time in the NCAA East Region. She has the top time in the MAAC by over 5 seconds. This mark is an ECAC qualifier and likely NCAA First Round qualifying mark as well.
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Mikah Maples, Quinnipiac
Gr., Mowequa, IL, Central A&M
 
At the JMU Invite, Mikah Maples finished first in the shot put with a 13.56m mark. Maples also tallied a second-place finish in the javelin with a 46.21m throw, which is a career-best mark and the second-best throw in the MAAC this season. In addition, Maples took second place in the discus (43.43m). Maples has recorded a top-three mark in the MAAC in all of these events this season.
