Offensive Player of the Week:
Kaysie Stuba, Villanova
Sr., La Grange, IL, Lyons Township
Senior, Stuba led the team with 15 goals, four on penalty attempts, on 34 shots, racking up 17 points with two assists in a 1-1 weekend for Villanova at home. Drew 13 exclusions with only two whistled against her. Stuba also made six steals with four field blocks. She now holds the program record for single-season goals (87), points (134) and shots (191).
Defensive Player of the Week:
Marina Hyham, Marist
Sr., Garden Grove, CA, Huntington Beach
Highlighted by 12 saves against Iona and 11 against La Salle, Hyham was a brick wall in net this weekend. In total, the goalkeeper made 41 saves in four games this weekend, winning all of the games.
Rookie of the Week:
Francesca Co’ La Salle
Fr., Rapallo, Italy, Liceo Scientifico Nicoloso de Recco
The freshman put up an impressive 28 points on 15 goals and 13 assists in four games for the Explorers including an impressive seven-goal performance in the victory over St. Francis Brooklyn. Co’ had an impressive defensive performance from the field with 14 steals across the four contests including seven in the defeat against Marist.
