Fairfield’s Sedensky, Marist’s Pech Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

EDISON, NJ (May 11, 2022) – Fairfield’s Audrey Sedensky and Marist’s Aidan Pech have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Women’s Rowing
 
A senior co-captain of Fairfield Rowing, Sedensky sits in the bow seat of the second varsity eight this season, helping the Stags to victories in the Tail of the Housatonic and the Fall Metropolitan Championship. Out of the water, she was a lead co-organizer of the team’s annual Meters for Myeloma fundraiser. An All-Academic Team honoree throughout her career, Sedensky also maintains a 3.9 GPA as a Nursing major and is part of the Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society. She was recognized last week with Fairfield’s William Wallin Memorial Award, which is presented to the student-athlete that epitomizes the late William Wallin '61, who demonstrated the highest levels of sportsmanship, character, and leadership on and off the field.
 
Aidan Pech
Marist
Men's Cross Country/Track & Field
 
Aidan Pech has contributed to the Marist men's cross country/track & field program in competition and in the classroom. A Biomedical Sciences major, Pech has been named to the Dean's List in all five of his semesters on campus. He has taken a leadership role in Marist's Student Government Association, and has served as a volunteer tutor for student-athletes. He was honored Marist's Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement's Student-Athlete of the Month in December of 2020.
