JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Jacksonville Women's Rowing gathered at the River House on Tuesday night where they learned their seeding and opponents in the upcoming NCAA Rowing Championships.
After winning their sixth MAAC Championship all-time and securing an automatic bid to this year's NCAA Championships, Jacksonville now knows that they will face off against their ten fellow conference champions highlighted by defending champion Texas, as well as 11 other schools who received an at large bid.
Looking at the at-large selections Jacksonville will be competing against some powerhouse programs including 5-time champion Washington and 4-time champion California to highlight the group. Rounding out the at large selections were Yale, Syracuse, Southern California, Rutgers, Penn, Oregon State, Michigan, Duke, and Brown.
Following the announcement of the field, Jacksonville also learned its seeding for the three boat classifications of First Varsity Eights, Second Varsity Eights, and Varsity Fours. The 'Phins were ranked 22
nd of 22 teams in both the First Varsity Eight and Varsity Fours classifications, while they were ranked 21
st in the Second Varsity Eights classification, just edging out the boat from Northeastern.

Alex Ricker-Gilbert addressed the team with some kind words of encouragement.
"I'd like to just congratulate all of you for the hard work this year. It's been tremendously challenging, especially with all the uncertainties that we've had in our lives, but Sunday (winning the MAAC Championship) was pretty awesome. I'm excited to get back to work..." said Lane.
The Dolphins now prepare for a week of training before they head down to Sarasota for the mentioned NCAA Championships which will take place over three days from Friday, May 27, to Sunday, May 29.
