Canisius’ Varsity Eight earned a pair of first-place finishes at the Black Rock Cup last Sunday. In the morning session, the crew finished with a time of 7:20.7 before improving on that time by 10 seconds in the afternoon (7:10.3).
Varsity 4 Boat of the Week:
Canisius College
Canisius' Varsity Four earned a first-place finish in the afternoon session of the Black Rock Cup last Sunday. Following a second-place finish in the morning, the Griffs picked up the victory after finishing nearly five minutes ahead of Robert Morris with a time of 9:16.2.
2nd Varsity 8 Boat of the Week:
Canisius College
Canisius' Second Varsity Eight also earned a pair of first-place finishes over Robert Morris at the Black Rock Cup last Sunday. In the morning heat, the crew clocked a 7:57.2 time, which was 26.9 seconds faster than the Colonials. The time was bested by 13 seconds in the afternoon (7:44.2), beating Robert Morris by 39 seconds.
