BRIDGEPORT, PA – For the third time in the last four seasons, Siena Water Polo saw a student athlete receive national recognition from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC). Senior attacker
Bianca Prinsloo was given ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention honors following a solid 2022 campaign, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.
"Bianca has demonstrated total commitment to the process and our program," Head Coach
Alex Williams said. "Her year-by-year growth is a direct byproduct of positive and consistent behaviors over the course of her collegiate career. It is no surprise to any of us that she is receiving an All-America honor today. One behalf of the program, we are all so incredibly proud of her."
A four-year member of the team and Team Captain this past season, Prinsloo led the Saints with 95 points during the 2022 season, including 66 goals and a team-best 29 assists over 29 matches played. The Johannesburg, South Africa native drew 34 exclusions on the year, while registering a .606 shooting percentage and logging 39 steals.
Prinsloo notched 12 hat tricks on the season, including three games with seven goals each. The Senior finished the 2022 campaign ranked tenth all-time in program history in points (228), ninth in shots (324) and tied for ninth in goals scored (146).
The award marks the third time ever that the program has boasted an All-America Honorable Mention honoree, with
Diana Fernandez '20 earning honors following both the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
