ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Iona College men's soccer alumnus Jordan Scarlett will join the Jamaican national team for the country's upcoming CONCACAF Nations League match against Mexico on Tuesday, June 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST at National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica and will be live streamed on Paramount+.
Scarlett is in his third season with the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the United Soccer League (USL) Championship, having played in his 70th career match with the Rowdies this past weekend. The center back signed on with Tampa Bay ahead of the 2020 season after a three-season stint with the New York Red Bulls II. Scarlett has been a mainstay on the Rowdies' back line, helping his squad claim back-to-back Eastern Conference titles.
A standout athlete at Iona, Scarlett was a two-time All-MAAC performer. After graduation, Scarlett became the program's second-ever MLS draft pick and the 12th in MAAC history when the New York Red Bulls selected him with the 61st overall pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. In 2019, he was selected as a member of the 40-player provisional roster of the Jamaican National Team for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
