EDISON, NJ (June 28, 2022) – Saint Peter’s University finished atop the 2021-22 DI-AAA Athletic Directors Association men's basketball standings, the organization announced.
 
This marks the third time in the last two seasons that a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) program finished atop the DI-AAA ADA standings. Fairfield baseball and Iona cross country were recognized in 2020-21. 
 
After defeating Monmouth in the Men’s MAAC Basketball Championships, Saint Peter’s went on a historic run in the NCAA Tournament and became the first-ever 15-seed and MAAC program to make the Elite Eight.
 
The Peacocks knocked off second-seeded Kentucky, seventh-seeded Murray State, and third-seeded Purdue on their unprecedented run.
