EDISON, NJ (July 20, 2022) – The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) recognized six Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) women’s basketball programs for their outstanding achievement in the classroom this year.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women’s basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2021-22 season is the 27th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
Iona College finished the 2021-22 season ranked 17
th nationally with a 3.621 GPA. Other programs that were recognized by the WBCA included Canisius College, Fairfield University, Manhattan College, Quinnipiac University, and Rider University.
