Offensive Player of the Week
Richard Morel, Marist

The sophomore scored three goals (6 points) in two games this past week in wins over Albany and FAU. Morel scored in the second minute in a win against Albany. Against FAU, Morel broke the tie in the 36th minute, and sealed the game with a beautiful low-strike past the goalie in the 89th minute.

Defensive Player of the Week
Samuel Ilin, Marist
Gr., Brooklyn, NY, LIU Brooklyn
 
Ilin recorded three saves in a win against Albany and the only goal he allowed was against a penalty kick. Ilin followed that phenomenal performance up with a clean sheet against AAC member Florida Atlantic, recording four saves in the shutout.

Rookie of the Week
Alberto Sanchez Cervera, Niagara

Alberto Sanchez Cervera scored both goals in Niagara’s 2-1 win over Stonehill last week. Both goals in the win came off the head of Sanchez Cervera following Niagara corners.
 
The 2022 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship will take place from November 6 through 13. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, November 6, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 10, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 13.
