Fairfield’s McGinley and Siena’s Borrino have been named the Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week.

 EDISON, NJ (Sep. 14, 2022) – Fairfield’s Killian McGinley and Siena’s Danielle Borrino have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

In the 2022-23 opener for Fairfield University men’s golf this weekend, senior Killian McGinley shot an even par during his opening round at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate to lead his team on Day one. In the final round Sunday, McGinley paced the Stags once again on a resurgent day for the squad, who shot 10 under as a team, while the Fairfield senior shot two under par, to finish tied for tied for 16th in the 90-player field.

Women’s Soccer
 
A team captain and four-year letter winner for the Saints, Borrino had played in 33 career matches on Siena's back line, including all seven thus far this season and seven total starts. The Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey native has logged 1,024 minutes, and scored a pair of goals during the 2021 season. A member of the MAAC All-Academic Team and MAAC Academic Honor roll throughout her collegiate career, Borrino holds a 3.63 cumulative GPA as a business major.
