Recap
Iona earned a 1-1 draw against Army at Mazzella Field on Wednesday afternoon. Kayla Thomas scored her second goal of the season to even the ledger in the 50th minute. Sofia Banegas played a pass up towards Thomas, who beat the keeper all the way to the lower-left corner to equalize. With the clock dwindling, Kedarjah Lewis had a free run towards goal starting from the defensive side of midfield. She raced as far as she could and with a couple of ticks left let loose a shot from just beyond the Iona word-mark on the turf at Mazzella that sailed high and out of play.
