In a back and forth affair, Marist fell to Gonzaga in Thursday's non-conference matchup, 2-1. Trailing 1-0 in the first half, Jared Juleau served a ball to Henrique Cruz, who scored the lone goal of the game for the Red Foxes. The Red Foxes would surrender the game-winning goal in the 89th minute. Samuel Ilin had four saves in the game. Marist led in shots (11-10) but Gonzaga had the advantage in shots on goal (7-4).
 
The 2022 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship will take place from November 6 through 13. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, November 6, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 10, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 13.
