Manhattan tied Stony Brook 1-1 on Wednesday night on Long Island in the final non-conference game for the Jaspers. Manhattan was efficient with its chances, needing only two shots on goal to score. Sami Derrico netted her second of the season in the 28th minute to give the Jaspers the 1-0 lead. Julia Nicholas supplied the assist, her first of the season. The goal from Derrico gave the Jaspers the lead at the half and until the 76th minute. Stony Brook tied the game through Gabby Daniels. The Seawolves held an 18-3 advantage on shots but a smaller advantage, 5-2, in shots on goal. Outside of Daniels' goal, the Jasper defense held Stony Brook to only two shots on goal in the second half. Goalkeeper Kim Mains needed to make only three saves—all in the first half. Stony Brook's goal was just the third allowed by Manhattan this season. The three goals are the fewest allowed in the MAAC.
 
The 2022 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship will take place from October 30 through November 6. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, October 30, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 3, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 6.
