EDISON, NJ (Sep. 28, 2022) – Rider’s Jeremy Peterson and Niagara’s Annina Marullo have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.
Jeremy Peterson
Rider
Men’s Soccer
Peterson has been a three-year starter for the Broncs, scoring the game-winning goal against Fairfield a year ago, while adding three assists. In two games played this season, he has one assist, helping Rider to a road win at Central Connecticut. He's also achieved in the classroom, posting a 3.95 GPA in earning his bachelor's degree in information systems. He's currently pursuing his master's in information systems.
Annina Marullo
Niagara
Women’s Cross Country
Marullo has been Niagara's top runner through the first two meets of the 2022 season, finishing eighth at the Little Three Championship with a time of 19:27.6, her career-best 5k time. She followed that performance up with a 43rd place finish at the Yellowjacket Invitational, crossing the line in 24:22.6. In the classroom, Marullo has a 3.65 GPA and is a three-time MAAC Cross Country All-Academic Team Selection.
