Recap

The Saint Peter's women's volleyball lost three sets to none against FDU in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday night. Elena Bilhartz and Ava Harmon were the Peacocks’ leading scorers, tallying 7.5 points each. Harmon also led the Peacocks in kills, with 7. The first set between the two teams went back and forth but started with the Peacocks jumping out to an early 3-0 lead. The Knights responded with a run of their own, tallying seven straight points to take a commanding 21-13 lead. Saint Peter's knocked off a run of five straight points, but FDU held on for the 25-19 set victory. The theme of the second set was deep runs of points that favored the Knights heavily. Three different runs of five, four, and four points gave FDU the 25-15 second-set victory and the commanding 2-0 lead in the match. The third set was very similar to the first, in that the Peacocks kept it close throughout the entirety of the set. Saint Peter's trimmed the FDU lead down to two at multiple points during the set, but three straight points by the Knights at the end of the set closed out the 25-19 set victory and the 3-0 match victory. Elena Bilhartz had six kills to go along with the aforementioned 7.5 points. Camille Thoennes recorded six kills, a number good for second on the team with Bilhartz . Lillian Konrad led the team with 14 digs while also adding two kills and a .286 hitting percentage. Madelyn Harrison led the Peacocks with a .500 hit percentage and added three kills, as well.
