Canisius’ Appenheimer and Silba, Marist’s Little Named MAAC Ready Nutrition Cross Country Weekly Award Winners

Men’s Co-Runner of the Week:
Tom Appenheimer, Canisius
Sr., Kenmore, NY, Cardnial O’Hara
 
Appenheimer claimed the men's individual title at the Little Three Championships, finishing the 5k race with a time of 15:06.4, nearly ten seconds ahead of the second-place runner from St. Bonaventure (15:16.3). Paced by Appenheimer, the Griffs claimed their 16th straight Little Three men's crown as they posted a team score of 21 points, 19 points clear of St. Bonaventure (40) and more than 60 in front of Niagara (81).
 
Men’s Co-Runner of the Week:
Ramsey Little, Marist
Sr., Millburn, NJ, Millburn
 
Ramsey Little placed first overall at the Marist Season Opener and broke the Vassar Farms course record with a time of 18:32.6. The previous course record of 18:51.5 was held by Dietrich Mosel from Marist.
 
Women’s Runner of the Week:
Marissa Silba, Canisius
Sr., Newark Valley, NY, Newark Valley
 
Silba won the Little Three Women's Championship with a 5k time of 18:55.6, two seconds ahead of the second-place runner from St. Bonaventure. Led by Silba, Canisius finished with a total of 23 points, 15 in front of St. Bonaventure and more than 40 points ahead of Niagara as it captured its 18th Little Three women's team title in the last 20 championships.
 
The 2022 MAAC Men's & Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held at The Crossings of Colonie course in Loudonville, New York on Saturday, October 29. The one-day event will be hosted by Siena College. This will be the second time Siena serves as host of the cross country championships at The Crossings of Colonie, having previously hosted the tournament in 2018.
