Canisius' Mereto, Manhattan's Scaglione Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

EDISON, NJ (Sep. 7, 2022) – Canisius’ Federico Mereto and Manhattan’s Andria Scaglione have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Men’s Soccer
 
A native of Genova, Italy, Mereto has appeared in three games this season, making one start. He has registered two shots in 107 minutes of action. In 33 career games with the Griffs, Mereto has made 25 starts. He has three goals and three assists to his credit. A dual major in finance and economics, Mereto is a two-time MAAC Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team selection.
 
Andria Scaglione
Manhattan
Women’s Cross Country
 
Scaglione has been a runner at Manhattan College for the past four years. In her first race of the 2022 cross country season, she competed in the Marist Opener, finishing 17th. The senior from Oceanside, New York, is the 2021 Metropolitan outdoor 5000m champion and the 2020 300m Metropolitan Indoor Championships. Scaglione has a sister who is also a member of the Manhattan College cross country team, Nicola.
