Quinnipiac women's soccer earned its fourth win of the 2022 season on Wednesday afternoon in Hamden, defeating Fordham by the final score of 3-1. Rebecca Cooke had her second two-goal game and Madison Alves scored her first collegiate goal as a Bobcat. Cooke gave the Bobcats the lead in the 28th minute with assists from Ella Gagno and Emely van de Vliet, then scored again in the 76th minute with help from Olivia Kudrikow. Alves scored just two minutes later in the 78th minute to secure the 3-1 victory over Fordham. Goalkeeper Sofia Lospinoso made four saves on the night.

Madeline Weltin scored her first collegiate goal as Canisius played to a 1-1 draw against Little Three rival St. Bonaventure in collegiate women's soccer action Wednesday. Weltin got the Golden Griffins on the board in the 33rd minute when she used her right foot to place Mia Iacona's cross into the bottom right-hand corner of the net from 10 yards out to give Canisius a 1-0 lead. The Bonnies equalized just under nine minutes later. In the second half, Canisius out-shot St. Bonaventure by an 11-5 margin but was unable to get one past Bonnies goalkeeper Chiara Gottinger, who finished with nine saves. Jessica Jones got the start in goal for the Griffs and finished the contest with five saves, four of which came in the second half.

Saint Peter’s lost to Monmouth, 4-1, on Wednesday afternoon. Jazmin Brown scored the lone goal for the Peacocks in the 35th minute, while Taylor Moyer and Skyler Owens provided the assists. Monmouth scored in the fourth, fifth, and 35th minutes and then again in the 85th. Goalkeeper Olivia Mackethan made two saves in the opening 45:00.
The 2022 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship will take place from October 30 through November 6. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, October 30, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 3, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 6.
