Fairfield University men's soccer was unable to put any goals on the scoreboard which led to a 2-0 setback against unbeaten Colgate University. Colgate registered goals in the 38th and 78th minutes in the match. The Stags put forth a gutty performance in the game, out shooting Colgate 14-8, led by Thomas Drillien’s five shots (one on goal) and Alex Oliveira’s four (two on goal). Keeper James Anderson made a pair of stops in goal for the Stags who fall to 2-2-0 on the season.
The 2022 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship will take place from November 6 through 13. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, November 6, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 10, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 13.
