Niagara’s, Aaliyah Parker, earns MAAC Player of the Week honors after leading the Niagara Purple Eagles to two victories this week, helping extend their win streak to seven games. Parker averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and three steals in two games during the past week of conference play. On the road against Mount St. Mary’s on 1/28 Parker tallied 17 points, 18 rebounds, five assists and five steals, leading Niagara to a 73-54 victory. On the season, Parker leads the MAAC in steals per game (3.9) and ranks third in points per game (16.5).


Rookie of the Week
Teresa Seppala, Siena

Teresa Seppala claims MAAC Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth week in a row and sixth time this season. Seppala’s play over the weekend helped Siena go 1-1 in conference play.  Over two games, this past week, Seppala, averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists, highlighted by a 22 point, nine rebound and four assists performance in a win over Rider on 1/26. On the season, the freshman holds averages of 10.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 42% from three- point territory.
