Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Camil Azzam Ruiz, Iona, Men’s Soccer

In two games this past week Azzam Ruiz led the Gaels with eight total shots, with seven in the win over Marist. Camil currently leads the nation in goals per game, points per game, shots per game, and shots on goal per game. He leads the MAAC in total goals and points along with shot accuracy. The graduate student has also moved up in the Maroon & Gold’s record book for career goals, sitting third all-time in program history with 28 goals. 

Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Grace Dimkopoulos, Siena, Women’s Soccer
Sr., Fayetteville, NY, Jamesville-DeWitt

A team captain and two-year starter on the Saints' back line, Dimkopoulos has made 49 appearances with 22 starts as of October 25, 2023. She netted a goal during the Saints' MAAC Championship-winning season in 2020-21, and also found the back of the net during her junior season. She recorded her first career assist during Siena's comeback draw at Western Kentucky on August 24, 2023. Dimkopoulos holds a 3.96 cumulative GPA as a health science major, and is a member of Siena's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selection last season, and has been a member of the MAAC All-Academic Team and MAAC Academic Honor Roll throughout her collegiate career.
