Rider’s Snyder and Quinnipiac’s Barney Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Tamrat Snyder, Rider, Men's Cross Country
Sr., Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus
 
Snyder earned All-MAAC in cross country for the second-straight season, finishing 14th at MAAC Championships on Oct. 28. He's also compiled a accomplished track & field resume, qualifying for the 2022 NCAA Outdoor East Preliminary Championships in the 800 meters and is a five-time MAAC Championship medal winner across the 800, 4x400 and 4x800. He's also achieved in the classroom with a 3.49 GPA as a marketing/sports management major.
 
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Corinne Barney, Quinnipiac, Women's Cross Country
Sr., Oakland Hills, N.J., Indian Hills


Barney helped lead the Bobcats to their second consecutive MAAC Cross Country title over the weekend, placing a team-best third as one of five Quinnipiac runners inside the Top 10. A collegiate-best time at MAACs capped a great national run for the senior, who also paced the team at the XC23 Pre-National Race at Virginia and was second on the team, right behind Rachel St. Germain at the Paul Short Run.
