EDISON, NJ (Nov. 30, 2023) – Rider University has been selected as the unanimous favorites to repeat as champions in both of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Coaches’ Polls, as voted on by the league's head coaches. 
 
Picked unanimously in the poll for the second straight season, the Rider Broncs men’s team swept the poll by receiving all eight first-place votes for a total of 64 points. At the 2023 championships, the Broncs never relinquished the lead following day one of the meet, finishing with a team score of 207 behind four gold medalists. The trophy was the program’s second ever indoor title, joining the 2017 championship.
 
2023 MAAC runner-up, Mount St. Mary’s, was tabbed second behind the Broncs, receiving 53 points, while Iona University rounded out the top three with 48 points. Manhattan College (41) was voted in fourth place and in fifth place was Saint Peter’s University (30).
 
On the women's side, Rider received a total of 81 points, collecting all nine first-place votes in the poll. Last season, Rider scored 193 points, winning a quartet of gold medals, to claim its second title in the last four years, and third overall in program history. The Broncs trio of MAAC indoor crowns have come in 2023, 2020, and 2007.
 
Picked second for the second consecutive season was 2023 runner-up Quinnipiac earning 71 points, while Mount St. Mary’s was selected third with 59 points. Rounding out the women’s top-five was Iona (52) and Manhattan (51).

The 2024 MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24-25, 2024, at the Nike Track and Field Center at The Armory in New York, New York. The two-day meet will be hosted by Manhattan College and will be held at The Armory for the 20th consecutive year.
