Latrell Reid, Saint Peter’s, Men's Basketball

Latrell Reid is a senior leader on the Saint Peter’s men’s basketball team. In the Peacocks’ season opener against Seton Hall at the Prudential Center, Reid led the Peacocks with 14 points and shot 100% (2/2) from three-point range. This tied a career-high for Reid as he finished with 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Additionally, the New Jersey native played a team-high 30 minutes. The SPU senior has played in 53 games for the Peacocks since 2021 and looks to lead the SPU backcourt for the Peacocks this season.
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Laryssa Imbuzeiro, Niagara, Women's Volleyball
Jr., Northville, MI, Northville High School
Laryssa Imbuzeiro is a junior on the Niagara volleyball team. This season she has played and started in every set for the Purple Eagles. She has 203.5 points this season as a middle blocker which is second on the team. She currently leads the MAAC in both total blocks at 120.0 and blocks per set at 1.48. The 120 blocks are a new career high for the Northville, MI native. Imbuzeiro has 13 matches this season in which she had five or more total blocks, her season high is nine total blocks, she has tied her career high of nine three times this season. Her 1.48 blocks per set is eighth in the country while her 120 total blocks rank’s her 24th in the NCAA. As a freshman in 2021 she was named to the All-MAAC Rookie Team. In the classroom, Imbuzeiro was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team in 2022, the sport management major has a cumulative GPA of 3.95.
