Niagara’s Finley and Rider’s McSorley Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Sean Finley, Niagara, Men's Swimming & Diving

Finley has been a leader in the pool this season for Niagara, setting a program record in the 100 IM with a time of 52.23 at the Magnus Cup Invitational on Nov. 18. The junior also holds top-10 times in the MAAC in the 100 breast (10th - 56.66), 200 breast (3rd - 2:03.48, 200 IM (5th - 1:52.20), and 100 IM (1st - 52.23). His 100 IM time is a CSCAA A-Cut, one of seven individual A-Cut times in the conference this season. His 200 breast time is a CSCAA B-Cut.

Maddie McSorley, Rider, Women's Swimming & Diving

Nazareth Academy

McSorley was a member of the 200-medley and 200-free relays that earned victories in Rider's recent tri-meet sweep of Siena and Sacred Heart. The graduate student was also the top Rider finisher in the 50-free and finished fifth overall in the 100-fly. The graduate student maintained an equally strong 3.76 GPA in the classroom as an undergrad.
