Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Isaiah Brickner, Marist, Men's Basketball

Isaiah Brickner has enjoyed success on the floor and in the classroom at Marist. Brickner is a Psychology major who named to the Dean's List in the Spring 2023 semester. He was selected to the MAAC Academic Honor Roll following the 2022-23 season.
 
On the floor, Brickner was named to the MAAC All-Championship Team as a freshman as Marist reached the MAAC final for the first time in program history. He scored a career-high 21 points on the strength of a career-high five three-pointers against Quinnipiac in the MAAC quarterfinal round. Brickner was named Preseason Second Team All-MAAC prior to the 2023-24 season. His contributions are a major reason why the Red Foxes have started 7-2, which matches the program's best start after nine games in 22 years. Brickner currently leads the Red Foxes in assists, rebounds, and minutes played. In his last outing against UMES on Monday, he secured a career-high eight boards.
 
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Fatmata Janneh, Saint Peter’s, Women's Basketball
Fr., London, England / Barking Abbey Sixth Form

Freshman forward Fatmata Janneh has showcased her skills from the very second she has stepped onto the court this season. Janneh has already accumulated four career double-doubles this season. For her most impressive performance of the season, she posted 21 points and 12 rebounds against Wagner, her third career double-double. During the Conference home opener against Marist, Janneh scored six points in the first five minutes of the first half. With 14 points and 17 rebounds at the end of the game, she recorded her fourth double-double of the season.
 
The newcomer from London has quickly left a mark on the Peacocks' performance in the initial month of the season. Janneh achieved a remarkable 15 points and 13 rebounds, securing a double-double during SPU's 61-57 victory against Central Connecticut State. With an average of nine points per game this season, this SPU standout is presently leading the Peacocks in scoring. Janneh was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week on December 4th, 2023 for her performance on the court.
