Canisius’ Stachura and Chu Sweep This Week’s TicketSmarter Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

Offensive Player of the Week:
Paige Stachura, Canisius

Senior Paige Stachura earns Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading Canisius to a 17-10 win over Stetson.  Stachura recorded 4 goals in the Sunday matchup to lead Canisius to victory on the road.
 

Defensive Player of the Week/Rookie of the Week:
Jody Chu, Canisius
Fr., South Riding, PA, Freedom
 
Freshman Jody Chu claims Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after recording a season best 13 saves in a 17-10 win over Stetson this past weekend.


The 2023 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship is a six-team, single-elimination tournament taking place April 30 - May 7, 2023. The Opening Round will take place on Sunday, April 30 and will be hosted by the third and fourth seeds. The semifinal and final are set for Friday, May 5 and Sunday, May 7, with the highest overall seed set to serve as host.
