Iona’s Tabois and Quinnipiac’s Spencer Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Edison, NJ (Feb. 22, 2023) – Iona's  Jadyn Tabois and Quinnipiac's Sophie Spencer have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Jadyn Tabois won gold in the 200-meter event in MAAC-record time. A night after setting a school mark of 21.50, he shaved nearly a half second off the time with a 21.02, good for exactly a half second victory over Rider's Artie Burgess. He repeated as MAAC Champion after capturing the event last season.

Spencer is off to a hot start to her 2023 campaign, recording seven points over the first two contests. She's scored five goals and dished two assists, as well as recording a pair of ground balls, causing two turnovers, and recording three draw controls. She's coming off a campaign where she set career-highs in goalscoring and points.
