Kelly Trotta finished the week with two hat tricks as she finished the week scoring 8 goals & 2 assist. Tortta now sits second in the MAAC for goals averaged per game with 3.67 goals scored per game. Trotta capped off her week by scoring 5 goals & 2 assist in Marist's non-conference win against Merrimack.
 
Defensive Player of the Week:
Lindsey Barnes, Fairfield
Sr., Malvern, PA, Academy of Notre Dame de Namur
 
Senior Lindsey Barnes was a force on defense for the Stags, causing a career-high eight turnovers by UAlbany players on Wednesday, which was the most by any player in a Division I game this season. She also collected six ground balls in the road performance against the Great Danes, before causing two turnovers and collecting a single draw control in Saturday's win over Hofstra.
 
Rookie of the Week:
Maliya Haddock, Iona
Fr., South Windsor, CT, South Windsor
 
In the Gaels lone game of the season the freshman recorded her first goal in college, along with her first career Hat trick in the win over FDU.

The 2023 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship is a six-team, single-elimination tournament taking place April 30 - May 7, 2023. The Opening Round will take place on Sunday, April 30 and will be hosted by the third and fourth seeds. The semifinal and final are set for Friday, May 5 and Sunday, May 7, with the highest overall seed set to serve as host.
