Burgess was part of the Rider 4x400m relay team that finished second overall at the RU Scarlet Knight Open with a time of 3:17.17. Burgess also ran a 6.89 in the 60m to finish seventh.
Johnelle Joe, Manhattan
Gr., Newark, DE, Mount Pleasant
Joe won the 800m at the Metropolitan Indoor Track & Field Championship with a IC4A qualifying time of 1:53.76.
Collin Clinton, Siena
So., West Milford, NJ, West Milford
Clinton took first place in the Men’s 5,000m at the Pioneer Invitational in Utica this past weekend with a time of (15:54.0).
Men’s Field Performer of the Week:
RJ Decker, Manhattan
Jr., Otisville, NY, Minisink Valley
Decker won the weight throw at the Metropolitan Indoor Track & Field Championship with a throw of 20.39m.
Women’s Track Performer of the Week:
Rylie Smith, Quinnipiac
So., Pittsburgh, PA, Seneca Valley
Smith finished second in the 500m at the New England Championships with a time of 1:14.37 and was part of the Quinnipiac relay team that finished third in the 1600m with a time of 3:51.61.
Women’s Field Performer of the Week:
Savanna Marcantonio, Rider
So., Whippany, NJ, Whippany Park
Rider’s Marcantonio earns performer of the week honors once again after placing first in the high jump at the RU Scarlet Knight Open by clearing 1.70m.
The 2023 MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18-19, at the New Balance Armory Track and Field Center in New York, New York. The two-day meet will be hosted by Manhattan College and will be held at the Armory for the 19th consecutive year.
