Edison, NJ (Mar. 1, 2023) – Rider’s Alec Sachais and Niagara’s Maddy Yelle have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Alec Sachais has maintained a 3.90 GPA while getting the Broncs off to a strong start on the diamond. The senior is 2-1 in four appearances out of the pen with a 4.76 ERA. In Rider's win over Oklahoma, Sachais tossed 0.2 scoreless innings of relief, earning the victory.
Maddy Yelle

Women’s Basketball
Maddy Yelle is the longest tenured Purple Eagle on the Women's Basketball team that recently broke the program record for MAAC wins in a season. Yelle has suited up for the Purple Eagles 78 times in her five-year career while making 62 starts in the process. This season she is lone Purple Eagle to start in all 26 games and she currently sits at 490 career points and 199 career rebounds. In the classroom she had a 3.8 GPA last semester and was recently named to the CSC All-Academic All-District team as she is pursuing her MBA.
