LIU’s Mark Regan recorded 6 goals, 2 assists, 5 GBs, and 1 CT in LIU’s conference opening win over VMI. When the Keydets grabbed an 11-8 lead in the third quarter, the Sharks answered with five consecutive goals, capped by three straight from Regan, to take the lead for good.

Siena’s Yanchoris, recorded 13 saves and allowed just eight goals to lead the Saints to an 11-8 win over Sacred Heart to begin MAAC competition.
 
Face-Off Player of the Week
Matt Fermo, Marist

In the Red Foxes victory over Wagner, Matt Fermo won 18-of-27 faceoffs. Along with his .667 faceoff percentage, Fermo collected one caused turnover and picked up nine groundballs.
 
Rookie of the Week
Kevin Carney, Canisius
Fr., Burnt-Hills-Ballston Lake, NY, Burnt-Ballaston
 
The Canisius freshman recorded his second hat trick of the season with three goals in the Griffs' MAAC opener at Quinnipiac on March 1. Carney also recorded a season-high five ground balls in the matchup versus Quinnipiac.
 
 
The 2023 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship will take place between April 29 and May 6, 2023. The six-team, single-elimination tournament will open on Saturday, April 29 with the opening round hosted by the higher seed of each matchup. The semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the highest seed in the field and will be played on Thursday, May 4 and Saturday, May 6.
