Offensive Player of the Week
Kerri Gutenberger, Marist

Marist’s Kerri Gutenbeger earns MAAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after she finished the week with five goals as she was able to tally four goals against non-conference opponent temple scoring her fourth hat trick of the season. Gutenberger also finished with two goals and one assist against Binghamton as she tallied her 100th career point. The senior currently averages 3.33 goals per game the second highest in the MAAC.
 

Defensive Player of the Week/ Rookie of the Week
Sydney Huhtala, Niagara
Fr., Baldwinsville, NY, Baldwinsville
 
Sydney Huhtala was a defensive force for Niagara, causing eight turnovers and picking up eight ground balls across two games. Against No. 6 Denver, the freshman caused five turnovers. She collected six ground balls, following that performance up with three caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls as Niagara erased an eight-goal deficit vs. Delaware.


The 2023 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship is a six-team, single-elimination tournament taking place April 30 - May 7, 2023. The Opening Round will take place on Sunday, April 30 and will be hosted by the third and fourth seeds. The semifinal and final are set for Friday, May 5 and Sunday, May 7, with the highest overall seed set to serve as host.
