Offensive Player of the Week:

Ella Baumgarten had a stellar week for the Red Foxes to receive MAAC Offensive Player of the Week recognition. Baumgarten scored a season-high eight goals in the overtime win against Cal Baptist then continued her offensive dominance in the first MAAC contest of the season. Baumgarten scored three goals against St. Francis College, four against Siena, and three against Mount St. Mary's for a total of 18 goals on the week.
Co-Defensive Player’s of the Week:
Julia Zebak, LIU
Sr., Edmonton, Alberta, Austin O’Brien
LIU’s Zebak recorded 15 blocks and two assists in win versus La Salle and 11 blocks versus Villanova this past week to claim MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Inés Sánchez, Marist
Fr., Barcelona, Spain, Voramon
Ines Sanchez had an outstanding week in net to earn MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors. Sanchez led the Red Foxes to a win against Cal Baptist in overtime. Sanchez also put the Red Foxes at 3-0 in MAAC play in the first weekend of conference action.
Rookie of the Week:
Francesca Sena, Wagner
Fr., Cosenza, Italy, Liceo Claasic Gloacchio De Flore
Wagner’s Sena earned three wins in three starts this weekend, recorded eight steals while stopping 18 out of 38 shots faced to claim MAAC Rookie of the Week honors.
The 2023 MAAC Water Polo Championship will be held at McCann Natatorium on the campus of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Marist has hosted the Water Polo Championship since 2003. The opening round begins Friday, April 28, followed by the semifinal round on Saturday, April 29, and the final round will take place on Sunday, April 30.
