Quinnipiac’s Lala Pascual claims this week’s MAAC Softball Player of the Week honor. Pascual went 5-5, with 4 RBI's, and three doubles through two games against Holy Cross this past week.
 
 
Pitcher of the Week
Avery Neuhart, Mount St. Mary's
Gr., Alexandria, VA, Hayfield Secondary
 
Mount St. Mary’s Avery Neuhart earned a complete-game victory in the Mount's 2-1 eight-inning win over George Washington in the team's only game last week.  Neuhart allowed one earned run while matching a career high with eight strikeouts in the win and recorded a 0.88 ERA for the week.
 
 
Rookie of the Week
Delaney Whieldon, Fairfield
Fr., Corona, CA, Norco
 
 
Delaney Whieldon reached base eight times in nine plate appearances (.889 on-base percentage) with a 1.200 slugging percentage and a .800 batting average over Fairfield's 2-0 week. She stroked four hits in five at-bats including two doubles and added four walks to her week. The freshman opened the week with a 3 for 3 effort with a double, two walks, and an RBI at Central Connecticut, then finished with one hit in two at-bats with two walks and doubling in what proved to be the game winning run at Sacred Heart.
 
 
 
The 2023 MAAC Softball Championship is a six-team double elimination tournament taking place between May 10-14, 2023. The championship will be hosted by the highest seed.
