Rider’s Boyer, Manorowitz, Schein-Becker & Thunig Earn MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Jerome Boyer, Rider
Gr., Edison, NJ, Edison
 
 
Jerome Boyer won the 100m in 10.88, won the 200m with a time of 22.13 and was on the winning 4x100m relay at the Rider 5 Way. The 4x100 relay is the top mark in the MAAC and the 100 & 200 are the second-best times in the MAAC this season and all were IC4A qualifying marks.
 
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week:
Zach Manorowitz, Rider
Jr., Pennsville, NJ, Pennsville
 

Zach Manorowitz won the long jump in 7.55m at the Rider 5 Way. It is the top mark in the MAAC by almost 2 feet. It is a possible NCAA East Preliminary mark, an IC4A qualifier and it is the 13th best mark in the NCAA East Region.
 
 
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Teagan Schein-Becker, Rider
Gr., Trappe, PA, Perkiomen Valley
 
 
Teagan Schein-Becker finished 3rd in the 1500m at the nationally competitive Raleigh Relays, running 4:10.42. It is the #3 time in the NCAA currently and a new Rider record by almost 8 seconds. That time will be a NCAA East Preliminary qualifying mark, ECAC qualifier, and the #1 time in the MAAC by over 30 seconds.
 
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Raisa Thunig, Rider
So., Toms River, NJ, Toms River East
 
 
Raisa Thunig jumped 6.13m in the long jump to win the Rider 5 Way. It is a new Rider record and the top mark in the MAAC by one and a half feet. It is a likely NCAA East Preliminary qualifying mark and ECAC qualifier, and Thunig’s jump is the 12th best mark in the NCAA East region.
 
 
 
 
The 2023 MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18-19, at the New Balance Armory Track and Field Center in New York, New York. The two-day meet will be hosted by Manhattan College and will be held at the Armory for the 19th consecutive year.
